Summer is well and truly upon us, and with the weather heating up we're ready to finally freshen up our lives and our hair. Jaye Edwards, salon owner and celebrity colourist of EdwardsAndCo in Sydney, has done his civic duty and educated us all on what to expect from this summer's hair trends.

1 High-textured bob

"A bob doesn't always have to be short and sleek," says Jaye. "This summer we're going to see clients opting for the above-the-shoulder chop, enhanced with texture and choppy layers. This lived-in look offers a playful alternative to the typically super-structured style, and it also adds a tonne of dimension to curls."

2 Bardot bangs
