TOM & RITA: THEY'VE HAD ENOUGH OF TINSEL TOWN

After a tumultuous year, the couple are desperate to move to Greece

For a pair who have long been known to have one of Hollywood's most enduring marriages, 2022 hasn't exactly been one for the books in the HanksWilson household.

The usually happy-go-lucky Tom and Rita have lurched from drama to drama in the past 12 months, and sources say she for one has had enough.

"It hasn't been a great year for them, so Rita wants to really shake things up," says a close friend. Woman's Day's insiders exclusively reveal that Rita, 66, is keen to "get in touch with her roots" and move to Greece for a year or so, preferably near the village where her mother grew up.

"Rita was raised Greek Orthodox and has always had a natural pull toward her homeland," explains a source, who says she thinks this is the perfect time to do it and put all their recent stresses behind them.

Sources say an extended stay in Greece is exactly what the pair, who boast two homes there one in Patmos and another in Antiparos - need right now after a tough time in the headlines.
