Despite taking every opportunity to slam the royal family following his dramatic exit, Prince Harry has finally come to understand the meaning behind his late grandmother's famous catchcry of "never complain, never explain"
After dropping a bombshell Netflix docu-series, then giving emotionally charged interviews on both British and US television ahead of the release of his memoir Spare, sources close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex say they're disappointed that the public reaction hasn't been more rapturous - and they were horrified to hear the book was already slated for the "bargain bin" in many UK retail outlets.
"Truth is, Harry's starting to fear the whole thing might have been a misstep," confesses a source close to the prince, 38, admitting that he and his wife Meghan, 41, had underestimated the groundswell of support for King Charles, 74, and Prince William, 40.
While the Sussexes have had the chance to "tell their truth" and offer insight into royal life, insiders insist there's "serious regret" brewing for Harry.
In Spare, the prince accuses his brother of physically attacking him (see right), and he claims William and his wife Catherine, Princess of Wales, 40, encouraged him to wear that infamous Nazi costume back in 2005.
Harry also refers to Wills as his “arch-enemy” and details his own past drug use, including tripping on mushrooms at a party at Courteney Cox’s LA home.
