Power & Water Middle East Magazine Description:
Publisher: CPI Media Group
Category: Business
Language: English
Frequency: Monthly
Rapid population and economic growth in the MENA region, and the resulting demand for power, has brought the region’s power sector into focus. For example, the projected annual demand growth rate of 7.7% in the Arabian Gulf region from 2007-2015 is among the fastest in the world. The MENA region, as a whole, is expected to add 100GW of additional capacity over the next 10 years. Additionally, several countries in the region have announced plans to develop alternative energy resources, like solar, wind and nuclear power, as part of a broader strategy to diversify power generation sources. MEGAWHAT is at the forefront of these exciting developments as the first dedicated magazine for the power sector that is published in the region.
Since its inception in 2007, MEGAWHAT has provided power professionals with a balanced technical, operational and economic perspective of the region’s power sector through a mix of news, interviews with industry leaders, country and sector surveys, product features, case studies and contracts/projects-related information. The editorial focuses on the subjects of Power Generation and Conservation, Transmission & Distribution, Consumption, Alternative Energy and Energy Efficiency, including technologies, policies and best practices, without losing sight of their interconnectedness.
The magazine also covers lighting and electrical appliances, as well as the challenges faced by the oil and gas industry to meet the region’s increasing power requirements.
Utility executives, managers, consultants, and plant engineers and operators in the region rely on MEGAWHAT for up-to-date information to assist in decision-making. We cover the MENA power sector, end-to-end.
