Survivor Car Australia magazine is passionate about Survivor cars and we’re convinced that these time capsules are now due the recognition that they deserve. Many have told us it’s been a long time coming! And now, after three years as Australia’s all-time favourite motoring magazine we feel it is time to reflect, and highlight some of the best and most interesting Survivor cars discovered along the way.
With Survivor Car Australia Collectors Issue No 1 completely sold-out we decided to put together a ‘Best Of’ Special Edition issue designed to showcase Survivor cars and their remarkable stories of survival, along with nostalgic photos, sales brochures and documents from when they were new. It is by no mean feat for these vehicles to have survived! In fact, it’s a rarity given today’s throwaway society of anything considered consumable. It is worth pausing for a moment to think about this… these cars have escaped the scrap heap, avoided accidents and theft that many original cars fell victim to along the way.

Survivor Car Australia is a bi-monthly feature magazine dedicated to bringing unrestored Survivor cars to the forefront and give them the long overdue praise and appreciation that they richly deserve. It doesn’t matter if you are a one-eyed Holden enthusiast, a fanatical Ford fan, a Chrysler nut or a lover of any other make of old cars because when it comes to Survivor cars we are all brothers-in-arms, banded together in our appreciation for these unique cars. They’re only original once!
