Hello readers, it has been a busy time for us preparing for our 6th Annual DARPAN Extraordinary Achievement Awards. The Awards focus on South Asians going beyond the usual and doing extraordinary things that inspire the lives of not just one or two people, but hundreds and thousands of individuals within our community.
Reflecting on the awards, our September-October issue highlights extraordinary achievers and special stories. Talking about achievers, our cover story this issue is on Peter Dhillon, CEO of Richberry Group of Companies and 2014 DARPAN Awards recipient. Dhillon won the Corporate Engagement Award in honour of his extraordinary achievements as a leader and entrepreneur in the South Asian community. In his interview with DARPAN, he shares his success story and talk about two of his biggest achievements.
The elections are taking place in October, and our special feature on the 42nd federal election sheds light on the works and promises of different parties competing as well as gives us a glimpse on what can be expected after the victory of one of the candidates. This issue also talks about the issue of infertility in Canada, with fertility experts sharing their expertise on the topic and suggesting ways for families and couples to deal with the problem.
