In this, our final edition of the year, we aim to continue with stronger impetus than ever, to offer you endless inspiration from the Mediterranean. We invite you to take a look at some more amazing travel destinations and deeper insights into the Mediterranean.
 We focus on the famous lifestyle, starting our culinary journey in Spain with a glass of Cava and a taste of Turrón, on through France to
the Champagne region, make a short stop in the port of Marseilles that takes us back to the past and learn about the origin of the famous Bouillabaisse, before heading to the Prosecco area in Italy to sample another glass of delightful bubbly. Still in Italy, we discover the origins of the unique Rosso di Treviso, before being guided through the history of the apéritif in Florence.

We are very happy to present you with our 27th issue, the last one in 2023. 

In this winter edition we give people who not only live the Mediterranean lifestyle, but who also explore and teach it, a platform to express and pass it on to people around the world. We start our gastronomic journey in Bella Italia and follow the fresh aroma of the Mediterranean. Let us take you to the Amalfi Coast, where the best lemons should be available and learn more about their true origin. 
Next, we take you on a culinary treasure hunt in Crete, where the roots of today's Mediterranean diet lie and bring you further to the north of Italy where the cattle are led to higher pastures to produce the most special types of cheeses in the region. 
Our next stop is Granada in southern Spain, where we find out why the pomegranate became a symbol of the city and from where the city got its name. 
Whether you are planning your vacation for next summer or looking for a getaway for the winter season, the destinations we introduce you to will be a real inspiration for your next travels in the Mediterranean. 

With our TML editions, we not only want to bring you closer to some of our lives in the Mediterranean, but also inspire you to learn a little more about this healthy lifestyle every day and maybe start living it soon. A lifestyle that has been proven to support health, longevity and joie de vivre in many aspects! 

We really enjoyed this issue of TML, because it is about our absolute favorite ingredients: olives and olive oil! We consume both every single day of the year, in some form. We love to try out new oils and be surprised by the variety of flavors. That's exactly what we want to recommend to you: Why not try out the extremely delicate and healthy olives and olive oils that the Mediterranean region offers us (There is a reason that it has been the home of the olives since ancient times). Here the small fruit is still cared for according to old traditions with a lot of love and passion, before being picked by hand and processed into the sought-after liquid gold. 

That's why we invited and interviewed experts and interesting people to tell us their personal stories about the olive. Read about wild olives in Greece, the world's largest olive oil region in Spain, and a couple who have dedicated their lives to researching the precious oil. 

With this edition, we hope to bring you a little closer to the Mediterranean and inspire you to celebrate the Mediterranean lifestyle a little every day.

This edition of TML is the first we've put together during a trip, and of course, we were inspired by the new impressions and incorporated them. We looked at another great love, the sea and the unique bond between fish and man, and wondered what the difference is between prawns and shrimps. Inland we head to Granada, Spain in the footsteps of the Zambra, known to many as flamenco, and of course we explore the history of wine and its liaison with cheese. We make a detour to the lavender fields in Provence and visit a small paradise between sky and sea. 

Another focus this time is the Balkan cuisine, a region that has been shaped and evolved by the various cultures left behind over the centuries. A rich culinary heritage that has wonderfully preserved its origins and simplicity. Our round trip takes us to the colorful and lively markets across the Mediterranean, to Malta for the caper harvest, and we wonderfully round off the gastronomic part with sunny summer recipes. 

In this summer edition, we have given ourselves completely to some culinary delights. From irresistible BBQs, to delicious meze that are so popular across the Mediterranean and healthy summer salads. We've got it all covered to help you recreate that Mediterranean holiday feeling at home. Let us take you away for a few hours to feel as if you are sitting with your feet on the sand, in a small tavern, listening to the sound of the waves lapping with an ouzo in your hand and enjoying that perfect moment! 

Another special, this time, is the cuisine of the Levant. This eastern part of the Mediterranean reveals a whole new world with 1001 flavors and ingredients and regarded as the new food trend par excellence. We learn all about ouzo and raki, the traditional drinks that really pack a punch, and visit a family in Istria who have devoted themselves entirely to olive production. In Malta, we let ourselves be seduced by the sweet strawberries and learn why they even have their own festival here. 

Our round trip begins in France, where we visit an ecological fish farm and then on to beautiful Albania, which is still considered a real insider tip. In Sicily, we visit the filming locations of the famous White Lotus series and finally explore the small and lesser known Greek island of Spetses with its glorious past. 

Our Issue No. 23 of TML is specially dedicated to the Mediterranean diet. Given the importance of the Mediterranean Lifestyle and its awareness worldwide, the entire month of May has now been designated internationally to the Mediterranean Diet. You've probably already heard that this diet was voted the No. 1 worldwide, and it was no surprise to us, given its health advantages. This time around we also take a closer look at the koulouria or simit, also known as sesame rings, and the wild herbs found on the mountains of Greece.
Our first travels take us to Italy, firstly to Oltarno, in the left bank of Florence, where we get to understand the authentic life of the city and then on to Cilento and its hinterland. Inspired by adventure novels, we wanted to introduce you to the legendary island of Monte Cristo, which today is only inhabited by flora and fauna. And while we're on the subject of reading, do you actually know where the letters of our alphabet that we use every day actually come from? Anyway, in case you already have an inkling, let's take a historical journey together to Byblos and back to the times when Mediterranean cultures were just starting to connect and trade further afield.

Hello from Crete, this is the theme of our first edition of 2023. Whether it is Cretan cuisine, one of the oldest olive trees in the world or the Olive Oil Man, in this issue we'll bring you closer to the diversity and authenticity of this wonderful Greek island. Our first destination is in France, where we dance with the people on the streets at the famous Carnaval de Nice. We learn about the interesting history of the delicious French croissant before our journey continues south to Seville in Andalusia, where the famous bitter oranges add a fresh splash of magic color to the cityscape. We then continue on to southern Sicily, visiting the magnificent baroque cities that we owe to a natural disaster, and make a brief stop en route at the bazaars of North Africa to stock up on some exotic spices. This time, we get to know Greece in a completely different way to before, where various writers take us throughout the country with their Novel Getaways. Furthermore, we escape to warmer climes and visit the 7 stunning volcanic Canary Islands, the Spanish archipelago in the Atlantic where spring is said to last forever. 

In this our 21st issue of TML Magazine, we head off to exceptional winter destinations such as the sprawling Algarve coastline and Lebanon's towering snow-capped Mount Sannine. We'll take you to the Greek island of Astypalaia and revel in summer memories as we cruise along the Albanian coast. We'll be enchanted by the grandeur of times gone by on a tour of the Villas of Tivoli before descending into Istanbul's Basilica Cistern and delving further into Roman history. In order to offer the gourmets among you some culinary delights, we volunteered, and this time succumbed to the fluffy, soft Panettone! We also got tips from Francesco di Salvo, a specialist baker who revolutionized its preparation, so you can get baking right away. And if you like to try new things in the kitchen, then you will definitely love the taste of Moroccan Tagine. Appropriately for the season, this time we put fresh chestnuts on the roast and round off our culinary winter delights with some hearty pear recipes. As always, we include more delicious and authentic cooking ideas from our community and chefs, who are happy to share their favorite recipes with you. 

This issue is dedicated to The Golden Season in which we invite you to a new journey of discovery and knowledge around the Mediterranean. Autumn has knocked at our door and it’s time for cozy autumn soups and seasonal dishes, including beetroot and squash. Do you know how to choose the best olive oil? In this issue we have expert tips and uses on how to choose the right olive oil and understanding the different types. 
For off season travel adventurers we have destinations that will inspire you to pack your bags again and fly away. We visit the famous wineries of Santorini, the island of Patmos, the Etna volcano and Ronda, a lesser-known jewel in Spain that once fascinated the famous Ernest Hemingway and Orson Welles. 
And last but not least we come to the ultimate question that also preoccupied Aristotle: Wha is happiness and how does one become happy?

In this issue we are looking for a balance in life in order to experience happiness. Like the ancient Greek philosophers wrote and Plato introduced moderation as “the harmony between reason, spirit, and desire”. We live in a world where “longevity” is a trending buzzword. The Mediterranean way of life is a great place to start on that longevity roadmap. Shifting the paradigm around anti-aging and how to age well is one of the main topics in this issue. This summer we embark on a journey to Kalymnos, the sponge island in Greece and to Monopoli in Italy where we indulge in the cultural traditions and flavorful cuisine. Our photographer here on Mallorca is sharing his impressions and the many faces of our beautiful island.
The seasonal fruit in this issue is the zucchini and refreshing watermelon, perfect for the hot summer days! We have again some refreshing cocktail recipes for you to try and more Mediterranean recipes from our community.

In this issue we indulge in the science and sensuality of longevity and learn wether we should exercise or simply be physically active in our daily lives. We embark on a journey to the mainland of Spain and head over to Greece where we learn about the lesser-known islands. Have you ever experienced a “ferry tale”? We do in this issue and as we are already in Greece we go and visit the Oracle of Delphi, one of the most powerful religious, political and social influences in the ancient world.
The seasonal fruit in this issue is the wonderful peach and we have some refreshing cocktail recipes for you to try in the warmer season. But also the classic Mediterranean green arugula finds a place on our tables these days.

In this issue we embark on a culinary journey and travel to France to learn all about oysters, the most expensive and precious shellfish. After a stopover in Parma, the 'City of 5 Senses', we continue to the Peloponnese where we are guests at Costa Navarino, the new luxury resort that focuses on sustainable tourism and among other things, the protection of turtles and the reforestation of olive trees. From here we continue to Turkey, to the millennial-old underground cities of Cappadocia and further south to Paphos in Cyprus to the mythical birthplace of Aphrodite. Now in spring we put the first red fruits, strawberries, crunchy green asparagus and sweet and sour rhubarb for delicious cakes and compotes on our seasonal menu.

In this issue we talk about the Mediterranean Diet, which once again this year was voted the best diet in the world, which of course doesn't surprise us at all! Seasonally, this time around, we fell in love with blood oranges and fennel and our wanderlust took us to Venice and its famous carnival, then right across the Adriatic to the Greek island of Corfu, where we learn the combined history of these spectacular locations.
