European Commissioner for the Environment, Oceans and Fisheries, Virginijus Sinkevičius, provides an insight into the harmful effects of pollution and the solutions needed, while WWF EU’s Helena Rodrigues discusses the need for sustainable management of our seas. We look at the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and the European projects making strides in the sustainability transition via ICLEI Europe.

Our cover star is Iceland: a country with vast and beautiful landscape of waterfalls, glaciers, volcanoes and geothermal pools which has become one of the world's brightest leading lights of sustainability. We take a look at Turku: a city with a sensible and modern approach to sustainability and one which epitomises the Finnish way of living. European Commissioner for Financial Services, Financial Stability and Capital Markets Union, Mairead McGuinness, discusses sustainable finance and climate risks. We examine how the upcoming COP26 is uniting the world to tackle climate change and we return to the theme of marine pollution. Finally, our U.S. Correspondent Dr. John J. The cover story looks at sustainable tourism in Monaco and the new "Green is the New Glam" campaign which aims to combine luxury and sustainability. Commissioner for Environment, Maritime and Fisheries Karmenu Vella talks about the steps that the European Commission is taking to stand up for European citizens' need to breathe clean air. We have exclusive interviews with the Director of Sustainability at Formula E, Julia Palle and MCI's Sustainability Services Director Mélanie Delaplanche.
