Welcome to Art Month! It's the most art-tastic time of the year, with both Art Basel and Art Central taking place towards the end of the month, and numerous activations and events at galleries across the city. We're celebrating the occasion with an exclusive cover and photo shoot with iconic Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. The artist spoke to us ahead of the opening of Takashi Murakami Mononoke Kyoto, his first exhibition in Japan in eight years and the first outside of Tokyo. He spoke about his inspiration and collaborations, and some of what he hopes his work brings to observers. He will also be in Hong Kong during Art Basel.
Elsewhere in the edition, we speak to legendary German photographer Wolfgang Tillmans, examine how women are reclaiming their power when it comes to childbirth, speak to American visual artist Marilyn Minter, who shot an exclusive self-portrait for Tatler, and visit the California home of reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian.
