गन्ने के कैंसर कहे जाने वाले रेड रॉट रोग को प्रभावहीन करने के लिए राज्य सरकार संकल्पबद्ध है। गन्ना किसानों को चीनी मिलों द्वारा वितरित किये जाने वाले गन्ना बीज को फफूंदनाशी दवा से उपचारित करने के बाद ही वितरित किया जायेगा। अपर मुख्य सचिव, चीनी उद्योग एवं गन्ना विकास विभाग श्री संजय आर. भूसरेड्डी की अध्यक्षता में विभागीय अधिकारियों तथा चीनी मिल प्रतिनिधियों के साथ प्रदेश स्तरीय मासिक समीक्षा बैठक 7 फरवरी को लखनऊ में सम्पन्न हुई।

खेती किसानी प्रमुख रूप से बीज, सिंचाई और उर्वरक पर आधारित होता है। यह तीनों ही तथ्य महत्वपूर्ण है। आज कल कृषि में उत्पादन वृद्धि के साथ-साथ उपज की गुणवत्ता भी महत्वपूर्ण हो गई है।
