On one hand, with more than 4,000 colleges and universities, the United States, successfully changed the dimensions of educational experience which turn from the traditionally way to modern 21st generation learning method. While on the other hand, the search for the next education superpower has turned  its sights east, but while we have been looking in the right continent, perhaps it has not been the right place.

The February edition of Leaders Speak is precisely focused on the odds and even of the potentialities of 'Cashless India' and its further upshots. As government claimed that, a Cashless Future is the real goal of India's demonetization move -that to unearth the black money.

Challenges and Opportunities for Indian Start-Up
Startups are essentially of two kinds. One that starts something ground up, something that no one has thought about and is often ground breaking. This type of startup is difficult to create but once created often sees unprecedented growth. The second kind of startups that we see around us are primarily the ones that do not want to reinvent the wheel. They are akin to adding old sauce in a new dish to create something new and innovative.
Whatever may be the kind of startup, Indian startups face its own set of challenges and some stellar opportunities. The challenges can be classified as:
Culture - Entrepreneurship and startups are only a recent phenomenon in the country. It is only in the last decade and half that people in the country have moved from being job seekers to job creators. Doing a startup is tough and every country sees more failures than success. 
Mentoring - Doing a startup is perilous and often a lonely journey. You may have co-founders, but you may not necessarily possess the business acumen to succeed.Having a brilliant idea is different from making that idea a business success.

Blended Learning best opt for India’s Education system, Blended courses (also known as hybrid or mixed-mode courses) are classes where a portion of the traditional face-to-face instruction is replaced by web-based online learning. Blended learning is a formal education program in which a student learns at least in part through delivery of content and instruction via digital and online media with some element of student control over time, place, path, or pace. While students still attend "brick-and-mortar" schools with a teacher present, face-to-face classroom methods are combined with computer-mediated activities. Blended learning is also used in professional development and training settings.

India’s education system — be it primary, secondary or higher levels — is fraught with quality and quantity challenges: There is a shortage of quality teachers, an enabling environment for students and infrastructure, just to point out a few.But this thirst and demand for quality education and trained personnel will not be easy to quench because it takes time, funds and quality human resource to set up better institutions. In India merely 2.6 per cent population is skilled whereas, in Japan 80 % and South Korea 96 % population is skilled. There is tremendous opportunity in the fi eld of Skill in India. One paradox that nearly 56 % population engaged in agriculture in India, but contribution GDP merely 14 %. If half of this workforce removes from agriculture sector and I believe no change in agricultural output. It shows the India, agricultural faces problem of disguised unemployment; it can be sort through Skilling in a rural area, and it further boosts up Indian economy growth rate. Skill India mission has to skill 40 crore population by 2022. But we shouldn’t depend on the government on the whole and we should also notice the gap between the skilled workforce and their chances of getting employed. The nation can only handle
poverty and employability issues better if their workforce will be skilled.

Digital technologies are the benchmark of the 20th Century and the main feature of the beginning 21st Century. The dissemination of their tools (computers, internet, mobile communication) has enabled society to achieve the necessary instruments to make knowledge accessible to the masses, and to augment productivity in industry, in agriculture, in services, and expanded cultural activity. The greatest challenge of the information era is to avoid a gap between those who have and those who do not have access to the goods and skills required in the digital era. Information technology can be a powerful tool for the development of a new critical and participation-oriented citizen consciousness. One of the greatest challenges put on the agenda by technological innovation is the narrowing of the ‘digital gap’.

Skill India a war against umemployment
Skill India is an initiative of the Government of India. It was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 16 July 2015 with an aim to train over 40 crore people in India in different skills by 2022. Skill India is important too l creating job through skill.
The Modi government will have its work cut out on skill development; just over one in 10 adults reported having received any vocational training, according to new official data, and the bulk of it was informal.The National Sample Survey Office on Tuesday released data from its 2011-12 round on education and vocational training. The numbers show that among persons in the 15-59 age group, about 2.2 per cent reported to having received formal vocational training and 8.6 per cent non-formal vocational training. The non-formal variety mainly comprised the passing down of hereditary skills, or on-the-job training. Among people aged 15 and above, the NSSO data showed, only 2.4 per cent had technical degrees, diplomas or certificates in fields like medicine, engineering or agriculture. The proportion was 1.1 per cent in rural areas and 5.5 per cent in urban areas.

Leader:  Common Services Centers (CSCs) are a strategic cornerstone of the Digital India programme. They are the access points for delivery of various electronic services to villages in India, thereby contributing to a digitally and financially inclusive society.

‘Make in India’ 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Make in India’ programme on 25 September 2014 in a function at the Vigyan Bhawan. On 29 December 2014, a workshop was organised by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, which was attended by Modi, his Cabinet ministers, chief secretaries of states and various industry leaders.

Economic growth without employment generation has brought Patels out of their glittering homes to streets demanding reservation as a compensation. Led by a greenhorn Hardik Patel, the community could employ a strategy of mass bank withdrawals in Gujarat to further their crusade for OBC status. Even more dangerous is the potential for the Patel agitation to spread to other social groups and across the country. It will also turn ‘demographic dividend’ in stark perspective.
Census data reveal that the number of people seeking jobs grew annually at 2.23% between 2001 and 2011, but growth in actual employment was only 1.4%. An Assocham study shows as many as five million jobs were lost in India between 2004-05 and 2009-10, technically a period of high growth. This shows that growth doesn’t always create as many jobs as it is skewed towards capital- or skills-intensive sectors rather than labour intensive manufacturing. Gujarat, home to protesting Patels, confirms the picture. It is a manufacturing powerhouse that specialises in capital intensive products. Job creating growth is bound to benefit the vast majority of Indian populace. But several reforms, a necessary prerequisite, are strongly resisted by the vested interests. How can it reap a demographic dividend?

India has earned itself a grudging admiration from the world much the same way as Bihar has from its own countrymen. Till not long ago, India was an object of ridicule in the world much the same way as Bihar was in India. India was not more than a country of snake charmers, home to wild animals evolving with their two-legged compatriots. Bihari became a pronoun for a whipping boy. Today, India stands half way to superpower status. The world wants India to shake bureaucratic barrier off its chest and realise its potential. Bihar too showed the prodigious promise of turnaround before falling to its ideologically corrupt masters.

You will be bracing for Independence Day when the
magazine reaches you. I don’t know of anyone born before
India’s freedom. However, the daily staple of heroic tales,
extraordinary valour and even lost battles fought by bare
chested, barely clad, ordinary folks to free India from the
clutches of British fills me with an indomitable spirit. I
imagine the untold travails of freedom fighters, who happily sacrificed
their present for our tomorrow. Several died unsung. Independence
was earned and wrested from the British. It was not granted. However, I
somehow feel worth of independence is not appreciated by a generation
driven by a market, club or call centre. Have we not paid enough for
freedom? To some, it is a windfall. No wonder, several others lived in
borrowed glory post-Independence.
