a dynamic and vital reality, that with its proximity to art, contributes through important
exhibitions worldwide, such as the most recent events held at  the  Maxxi  in  Rome,  the 
Guggenheim,  UBS MAP Global  Art Initiative  at  the  Galleria  d’Arte in Milan, and the exhibition
curated by the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris. Following  the path that connects cultures and
different traditions, there  was  also  Milano  Unica,  which  presented its  own  themes on 
trends for the  new  season, as  usual. In  this   edition,   it’s  Spring/Summer
2020  with Music  Menu. By taking  a risk with transversal  fusions  through music  and   food,
past and  future, rhythm  and  flavors,  the journey of different echoes in rap  funky, and  jazz
unwinds. All the  senses are  involved, including the  experience of  sound and  food,  with  Cous
Cous   Rap,   then   the   quick   meter  of   music meets one of North Africa’s typical  dishes,
with Funky  Tabbouleh and,  on  the  wave  of a  disco music beat,  Bon Bon Jazz with suffused
ironic glamour. For Summer 2020,  Pitti  Filati bets on sports, the  Far East,  and  subcultures.

sports and  “new” sports from  the  street and  youthful subcultures, the focus is on inclusion and
on the world of a new generation and a new sensitivity
that  is narrated through hybrid style  codes.

Textiles in Fall/Winter 2019-2020 respect this concept by expressing themselves in a completely personal quest through unprecedented textures and colors. The review on runway shows for summer 2015 will be extensive, while previews on knitwear collections for spring/summer 2016 will allow us to anticipate the themes of next January Pitti Filati event. Fabrics help us rekindle the pleasure found in good materials, refined style, strong chromatic contrasts and patterns. A NEW THEME: PREVIEWS on LEATHER, with new proposals for textures and colors.  KNITWEAR becomes even richer thanks to the addition of a NEW SECTION focused on Yarns, knitting and handmade DIY. A retrospective overlook will guide us toward Summer 2015 selecting the most interesting COLLECTIONS by FABRIC and LEATHER makers.

According to TRENDS 107 summer smells and tastes like the Mediterranean Sea, featuring luxurious floral motifs, it expresses itself in laces and plays with geometries. Shirts are fresh and clean; denim absorbs delicate shades of pastel and iridescent splashes, while technical fabrics are extremely fashionable. Yarns intertwine in refined stitching and accessories swing in graceful harmony between severity and glamour, between urban lines and virtual pathways. Attentions gets focused on winter 14-15 pre-collections for women and on men’s runway shows, while winter 2015-16 can be seen through the forecast of its atmospheres. Home fabrics will express a refined style.
