 On this latest volume of Billboard Philippines — and the last of our genre-centric issues — we showcase some of the best Filipino artists who have mastered and redefined the art of the Filipino ballad. The celebrated singer-songwriter and Billboard Philippines Women In Music 2024 Hitmaker awardee Moira graces the cover, as she comes out from a period of self-healing to release her most revealing and vulnerable album yet.

The true origins of the terms “indie” and “alternative” to define music have been the subject of much debate. Billboard Philippines takes a look into the rich and diverse indie and alternative scenes in the country — scenes that have so much history and sounds that they couldn’t be encompassed in a single cover.

The Billboard Philippines Indie & Alternative Issue is a special flip edition with back-to-back covers, each with a distinct set of stories.

With Philippines’ most noteworthy bands and artists taking centerstage, hand in hand with this generation’s frontrunners, we dive deep into each of the riffs and runs that define the Filipino rock scene.
