From the magical world of idyllic destinations, to catwalks; proclaiming the latest remarkable events in the journey of Villas&Golfe;, with the celebration of 15 years of the international publication, to the holding of the final of the Villas&Golfe; International Cup circuit, an unforgettable moment. We have this and much more. If João Figueiredo had not been called to preside over Moza Banco, we would have no knowledge of the challenges that lie ahead for banking. Also, through the eyes of the Japanese ambassador to Mozambique, Akira Mizutani, we are brought an opinion about what 2017 holds for us. We want to continue to focus on a modern, young language, while never look away from what really matters to our readers.

Issue no. 21 Villas&Golfe; magazine brings together inspiring looks, creative features and beauty as a backdrop. As main themes we have Amorambique, one of the names that began up on the catwalk of Mozambique Fashion Week and which has now become a project of another dimension. As silence is golden, and for the most part our best friend, the best thing is to take refuge in the thermal waters of the Hotel Amanemu, in the Ise-Shima National Park, in Japan. And, once again, have nature as your backdrop, the kind that makes time stop still.

Because there are landscapes and portraits that become burnt in your memory, issue 20 of Villas&Golfe; brings with it a special report, on the nation’s traditions. We paid a visit to Salinas Zacarias salt works, in Matola, Mozambique. We saw magnificent landscapes: mangroves, bird species, the biodiversity of the place and the mounds of white salt dotting the setting. Then, we found another refuge in the luxurious ‘The Brando’ eco resort, on the island of Tetiaroa, in the Society Islands archipelago in Tahiti, French Polynesia. On the flipside of the paradise coin, an important work by Salvador Dalí, The Vision of Hell, had been forgotten over time, for about 30 years, until it became one of the painter’s most emblematic paintings. Later in these pages take time to read the pages we’ve dedicated to Dalí’s Greatest Secret. Stuck between atheism and Catholicism, he converted to the catholic faith after visiting Fátima, in 1961. And there are so many other tempting articles for you in this issue. An entire universe of linguistic landscapes and images that have marked the history of humanity. In this issue, we introduce you to Flávio Menete, who, thanks to his gymnastic talents was given the nickname «elastic» by his school mates. A year ago he took on the role of president of the Mozambican Bar Association. We came across a group of craftsmen, working on Makonde art – a Mozambican tradition. Without stopping, we went to meet Sitoe, one of Mozambique’s own… 
And drawing and colouring, we also bring to you an issue packed with great articles to read, while you relax on the fine sands of the Maalifushi resort, in the Maldives. Could this be the idyllic holiday you’ve been dreaming about? Perhaps.

We begin issue number 17 of Villas&Golfe; magazine with a life story. This time we give voice to Sónia Sultuane, the woman that turns words into joy, experiences, nonconformities, culture, art and books. A woman, whose story is made up of childhood memories, professional experiences in Mozambique and always of words. «United, women and men, we take Mozambique forward!». Let’s do just this. Issue number 16 is special, in that we are dedicating much of it to Gorongosa National Park, not just for the stunning images that you can see here, but also for the story that gave rise to the As Guardiãs dos Leões da Gorongosa [The Lion Guardians of Gorongosa]. This is a very cinematographic issue. In it you’ll find a brief presentation of the co-production of Our Madness, a film shot in Mozambique… Take a rest in one of the places we suggest, all around the world, reading Mozambican lines…

After just over two years, Villas&Golfe; continues to demonstrate that it is one of the most essential publications of high regard within the country. We open this issue listening to Aires Ali, the new Ambassador to China, who tells us about his life story. And we look at the Casa do Elefante, as if there were no more colour: capulanas filling it. For flavours, we satisfy our appetite this time with Il Gallo D’Oro. Indeed, our issues are D’ouro, meaning made of gold. In this issue we escape the hectic pace of everyday life and whisk you off to Gstaad, in the southwest of Switzerland. Travel in time, through the BMW Museum, in Munich. And then, after you’ve taken on many calories, all that remains is to carefully read the words of Humberto Barbosa, who knows a great deal about health and longevity. Play a little golf with this issue, flicking through the pages of the 3rd round of the Villas&Golfe; International Cup.

Following the success achieved in Europe and Angola, in 2014 Villas & Golfe has created an edition especially dedicated to Mozambique. Sticking to the graphic and editorial style that distinguishes Villas & Golfe, the Mozambique edition is also bimonthly and bilingual (English / Portuguese), bringing together the best of worlds as diverse as art, culture, business, travel, gourmet, fashion and premium sports. We present the new issue of Villas&Golfe; Mozambique to you with the most beautiful images of a paradise known as Maputo. We make our way through the Bairro dos Pescadores (Fishermen’s Quarter), from sunup to sundown, encountering the great willingness to cast nets into the sea. And as there are many people willing to do more and better, we meet up with Fernanda Lichale, ambassador to Mozambique in Portugal to get to grips with the country’s diplomatic scene. Pedalling – inspired by the name of his latest art show – we set off in discovery of the artistic world of painter Gemuce and, in amongst banana leaves, we meet Dona Catarina, a specialist craftswoman of the rarest kind. Isolated in the sea, we lift the veil on Xefina Island, alluring on the horizon of the Bay of Maputo. Then we’re blown away by the tea of the city of Gurué, in Zambézia, before bidding farewell aboard a traditional dhow, dashing across the ocean with the GA Dhow Race.   

Summing up the best from the commemorations marking the first anniversary of Villas&Golfe; in Mozambique, this new issue revives our desire to reveal the country to our fellow countrymen and to send this around the world. In this eighth issue we reveal fearless dreams, such as those of Daniel David, which have taken form in the foundation of the SOICO Group, of artist Butcheca and of guitar player Jorge Domingos… We speak to Rizwan Adatia, chairman of the COGEF group, and to Claire Mateus Zimba, managing director of IPEME, and there’s also time to take a stroll through the mythical neighbourhood of Mafalala – birthplace of FRELIMO, which was home to such distinguished names as Samora Machel, Eusébio, José Craveirinha and Noémia de Sousa – in which we buzz with the invigorating energy of the Mafalala Tufo dance group, before setting off to the Ilha de Macaneta and to so many other places, which, with you in mind, we want to share!

One year on from the launch of Villas&Golfe; in Mozambique, here we are celebrating our first anniversary. 2014 was marked by the efforts towards peace in our country, and so in this issue we interview Dom Dinis Sengulane, Bishop Emeritus of Libombos, voted Personality of the Year by Villas&Golfe; magazine. In this issue we also introduce you to filmmaker Licínio Azevedo, writer Calane da Silva, choreographer Panaíbra Canda, the National Money Museum, in addition to the projects of Sasol, as described by its managing director, Mateus Zimba. The sixth issue of Villas&Golfe; Moçambique took us down new paths, to discover new stories, and embark on new adventures...We introduce you to Salimo Abdula, chairman of the Business Confederation of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries, and chairman of Intelec Holdings, to famed actress Ana Magaia and to Emanuel Chaves, chairman of the board of directors of Aeroportos de Moçambique. We listen to Luís Filipe Leboeuf, whose heart has always beaten hardest for badminton, and we reveal the golfer behind Luís Nhaca, the legend of a man that welcomes guests whenever they arrive at the Polana Serena Hotel, in Maputo. We went to Sofala, because we wanted to bring you the Gorongosa National Park. But before delving into the wild heart of the country we first reveal the Natural History Museum, the majestic Maputo Cathedral, the Mozambique Giant Puppets Association and the Xiquitsi Project, the country’s first symphonic orchestra.
