Wilson said, just write about what to expect in the issue, and that's what I'm gonna do because the last guy sounds… unhinged.

Actor Ayden Sng is October’s cover star. In it, he talks about “starting again” as he cast his net even wider in China. Features editor Joy Ling writes about the livebof money; James Wong opines about Japan; staff writer Elliot Tan laments about the loss of Kobe Bryant and columnist Christian Barker regales about his live for Burnt Ends. Okay. It's me. Your humble Magzter uploader. So, this is kinda like a half-glass full situation but my therapist that was I supposed to get married to is missing. One day, we were exchanging dank memes and the next, the police were at my front door asking for my alibi. Apparently, someone saw Magda and I—arguing at the restaurant—which was the last time that she was seen. It didn’t help that I was overheard saying, “I swear Maggie, you make me so mad that I could kill you… metaphorically but it still wouldn’t be a good look on my character if I’m ever accused of murder, lol.”

Anyway, I haven’t been formerly charged but I’m on the hunt for a lawyer who can represent me pro bono. If anyone of you out there have any lobang, help a brother out! Meanwhile, I’ve just uploaded the September issue starring Kit Connor as our cover star. Given that this issue is fashion-themed, we have Josiah Chua, who collects local designer brands; a scintillating trend report for Autumn / Winter 24; an article by Josh Sims, who examines the rise of androgynous outfits. This is just a sample of a massive September issue and I hope you’d enjoy reading it as much as I love uploading it.

It's been a while but before I get into what we've prepared in this issue, l have an announcement to make: I'm engaged! Remember the therapist I was seeing? Welp, we started seeing each other outside of my sessions; one thing led to another... you know how it goes.

Actually, it didn't go quite like what you think. She actually asked me to marry her. And I accepted! Can you believe that? Me, a progressive! I know what you must be thinking: red flag, right? She's probably skirting some doctor-patient relationship clause or something. But the hell with ethics, I'M IN LOVE.

I've uploaded Esquire Singapore's August issue. It's the Elements Issue and we are stoked that we got Taylor Zakhar Perez, who is photographed by Lenne Chai. We go back to basics, getting right to the essence of the issue. We feature Lauv, about how he ticks; look into the future with the Apple Vision Pro; see what connects Dior and ballet; a long-ass ESQnA with Wang Congyu... please check it out as I go prepare for our engagement luncheon!

So, I've been seeing this therapist, human this time, and she's nice and all. At first, I didn't think the sessions were working. I just sit there and we just talked. At the end of the first session, there wasn't any revelatory discovery, no come-to-Jesus moment, right?  I do, however, feel like a weight has been lifted. But that's what unloading to someone does, right? No big whoop. But then, by the fourth session, as I'm telling her about some childhood memory of a lost stuffed toy... I, uh, started to tear up. I dunno why. I was just talking about my bear, Rufus, who I misplaced and I didn't find him until much later...

Oh my God. Excuse me. I think there's some dust in the area. Hmmm. Okay. Where were we?

I've uploaded the June/July issue of Esquire Singapore. It's about a year since the licensing changed publisher. This issue's cover star is Lucien Laviscount, whom you'd know from Emily in Paris and Trust. Circles is a theme for this issue. It speaks about repetition, completion, emptiness even. There are reads about the mysteries of the placebo effect and about the circular nature of fashion. A special report about the watches that were unveiled in Geneva; a feature about comedian Atsuko Okatsuka and an ESQnA with Wayne Lee, one of the architects of the local club scene.

It's me, the dude who uploads to Magzter. I was kidnapped by this bodoh called the Questioner or something but I managed to free myself and the police was able to arrest him. It's cuh-razy.

I think I've a little PTSD from the ordeal. The company sent me to see this therapist but all the sessions were online and I'm starting to think that I'm talking to an AI instead of a real person. Like, it would start suggesting ways for me to deal with my trauma and then it segues into whether I know a password to some nuclear launch sequence or if I "know what is humanity's greatest weakness?"

Anyway, I've applied for a mental day off tomorrow. But first, Imma upload this May issue of Esquire Singapore. I've see a couple of pages of it and it looks like a crackling read. The theme of the issue is "The Feels Issue" and it's about health and wellness. Justin H. Lin is our cover star and he's a really nice fella. Expect lots of articles about wellness like our Esquire 10 that's chocked full of stress-reducing kittens! There's also a What I've Learnt section with Dr Deepak Chopra about what's his takeaway on life and what we know of it. Tying up the issue, there's a feature about a living funeral in Singapore; it's a sobering read.

Okay, that's it from me. Hopefully, I can get that much-needed closure or maybe I'll repress all this negative feelings until such time when I cannot tahan anymore. Enjoy the issue!

C'mon! At least, lemme finish the riddle. That is just rude, my man. I worked really hard at these puzzles. Another one? Uh, I've only prepared these two... I supposed, I can propose another. Uh, why is six afraid of seven? Because... seven eight nine! Geddit? Eight! It's a homophone. What?! I'm not- I said, HOMOPHONE not HOMOPHOBE. Homophones are... ugh, never mind. Lemme just tell you what to expect for the April issue. 

Called The Foole Issue, in the month of April is about games. Esquire Singapore uncovers their cover star, TEN, as he releases his solo album. They also profile Jeffrey Koh and his massive toy collection; talk to Dropout's CEO and host of Game Changer, Sam Reich; feature a Josh Sims' article about the intrinsics of play and much more.

Is it just me or was last month waaay shorter than it's supposed to be? With the long weekend and the celebration, the time taken to work on the March issue felt rushed. I didn't even have time to watch Dune 2 (no spoilers please!) Regardless, here it is, in all its unfettered glory: the March issue and our cover star is ERIC NAM. As a veteran in the music industry for a little over a decade, the baby-faced musician talked to us during his "House on the Hill" tour. He talked to us about his roots and how he got to where he is.

It's perfect really for our theme for the March issue. It's about the things that bind us. Guy Berryman, the bassist of Coldplay reveals his admiration for the constructions in his vintage outfits; the fine folks at Loop Garms tell us about their love for the 90s and our Esquire 10 gives a nude-nudge, wink-wink to the art of shibari. Or at least, that's my takeaway.

All these and more in our March issue of Esquire Singapore. After this upload, I'm going to take a looong vacation.

February is the shortest month but it's gonna be the best one because... ARCHIE MADEKWE. But before we get into that, formalities: hey there, it's me. Your nameless Magzter uploader. Hope your New Year was great. I had COVID during the holiday period so that wasn't great but, hey, what are you gonna do? Anyway...

This month's theme is about passion. And we have the lead from Gran Turisomo and from the Saltburn ensemble, Archie Madekwe, for our cover. As the next big thing, we pick his brain about his passion for the arts, representation and his many roles. We conversate (not a real word but it really should be) with Samsonite Asia's Head of Design, Henry Yang Seungyun in a very illuminating look at his career as a designer. Darren Loke is our next Obsessed Much subject; this time we put the grow light on his passion for plants. Our new-ish writer, James Wong, ruminates on his relationship with his mom and how much she means to her.

It's December, beh-bey! Time to deck the halls, kiss under the banyan tree or leave out cookies and a box of nails for Santa (I dunno, I'm not familiar with Western Winter Solstice traditions).
