For the last issue of the year, we bring to you stories of the various local and overseas exercises that Our Army partook in, as well as some behind-the-scenes action in the various events our servicemen organised. We also feature inspiring stories of our servicemen, and give you tips on improving the quality of your sleep.

In this issue, we focus on the leadership schools of Our Army - Officer Cadet School and Specialist Cadet School. Learn about the importance of leadership and how it inspires future generations to come. Find out what’s going on with Our Army today!

As we wrap up the year with Army News Issue 258, let's take a look at what we've included in this issue. We speak to Chief Infantry Officer, COL Chua Jin Kiat, on common misconceptions about the Infantry formation, his vision for the formation's future, as well important traits an Infantryman should possess. We then speak to CPT Nicole Tan, Gold Medalist of the Women’s Pistol Event at the ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet, CPT Nicole Tan, on how she kept her nerves during the competition, before finding out about the things to expect during BMT.

In this issue of Army News, we will be looking at the preparation and works that go behind the scenes to support our overseas exercise - Ex WALLABY. We were also privileged to speak to our Chief Army Medical Officer about his role, what he enjoys doing, as well as what he would do if the did not sign on!

Issue 256 focuses on Our Army’s innovations and the people behind them. We also had a chat with the Encik of Our Army, Sergeant Major of the Army.

Issue 255 focuses on enlistment and also uncovers secrets behind a particular island we are all too familiar with. We also caught up with one of Our Army’s senior commanders donning the red beret.

As we set foot in the last quarter of the year, we look back at what kept our soldiers busy over the past months! Together with the rest of our nation, we celebrated Singapore’s 53rd birthday with a parade. Within Our Army, we also celebrated various formations’ anniversaries, one of them being the Infantry’s 61st Anniversary. In addition, we share with you some interesting happenings from the highly anticipated Army Half Marathon and uncover some of the behind-the-scenes action from our soldiers.

As we celebrate SAF day on 1 July, we remember the various contributions and sacrifices made by our soldiers for our country’s defence. In this issue, we explore the conferment of Regimental Colours to Army Intelligence Formation, 8 SIR and 9 SIR, and find out more from the winners of this year’s Best Unit Competition. In addition, we also feature some of Our Army’s innovations aimed at enhancing our capabilities.
