The Franchi Feeling Sporting shotgun is in the spotlight in the March-April 2024 edition of SA JAGTER/HUNTER. Editor Francois van Emmenes took it on a recent shoot and gives his impression. In the July edition of SA JAGTER/HUNTER, Hubert Montgomery discusses John Rigby’s medium-bore magazine rifles – the three-fifties. Some nifty gunmaking transforms an “ugly duckling” Mauser rimfire into an elegant little rifle with finesse and Pierre Marais tells of an unforgettable stag hunt with a bunch of tough Scotsmen. We also test IMR 4350 propellant and the Steiner Ranger LRF 10x42.

In the June edition of SA /HUNTER, the Savage Model 110 Tactical Desert in 6.5 PRC gets a closer look. A case is made for the hunting of female animals, and we discuss the use of high-magnification scopes. For the wingshooters, there is an article on hunting spurwings with the help of dogs.
