A former advanced event rider tops the prix st georges, while a newcomer to medium scores a surprise victory
HOME-BRED horses were to the fore in the prix st georges (PSG), as Sandra Hall rode her 16-year-old black gelding Divine Expression (by Dimaggio) to account for the PSG silver.
“He’s out of the advanced event mare Corriander and I used to event him, but he would buck after each fence so I switched to dressage. He can still be sharp but he was working with me today,” said Sandra.
“This was only our fifth PSG and I’d like go up the ladder. Although I’ve evented to advanced, competing at this level in dressage is new to me. He’s very good at flying changes and I’ve been working on the pirouettes.”
PSG bronze victor Theresa Graham rode her Rubin Star N mare Rubin’s Charm.
