Ellie Morgan Conway and the pretty 153cm native mare Founthill Trudie Two Shoes (Twinkle) put on a dazzling performance to scoop the title ahead of the reserve, Rachel Birchall and 10-year-old part-bred Brindlebrook First Lady.
Twinkle is owned by Ellie’s best friend Bradley Ward and she was bought after Equifest last year.
“We’ve been hacking and schooling over winter to get her show ready,” explained Ellie. “I’ve ridden show ponies since I was nine years old, so I expect this season will be a bit different for me. We’re proud of Twinkle taking everything in her stride and receiving her first sash.”
