Architects Anand Menon and Shobhan Kothari of ADND might have a chalk and cheese personality but their design style is focused on simply one thing - to ensure that each design they create is bespoke, unobtrusive, client-centric and nature-focused. As Shobhan rightly puts it, “We strongly believe our projects have been richer and far more layered when the clients are involved, creating an enriching dialogue.” Having created some of the most luxurious interiors for residential spaces across the country for the last 20 years, and that too for some of the most wellknown industrialists in India, they have rightfully established themselves as one of the leading residential design firms in the country.
This Mumbai home is another example of a magnificent space carved out to reflect the fine tastes of the owners. The G+8 structure split between two brothers, with the 7th floor designed as a common entertainment space and the 8th as a terrace garden, the project involved designing levels 4 and above. Limited floor heights did not limit the design team’s imagination and the result is rather grand!
