The historic 7th March speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been included in the Memory of the World International Register, a listing of the world’s important documentary heritage maintained by UNESCO.
Irina Bokova, Director-General of UNESCO, announced the decision on Monday, at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, said a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The world will now get to know more about our Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and our glorious Liberation War”, said Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali.
