These days it’s quite a task to make a big splash with new riding gear.
With the continued growth of the ADV/dual-sport segments, companies are rushing to market their versions of the ideal ADV jacket. The key word here is “rushing,” and many fall short of hitting their targets with what today’s riders actually want.
The Moose Monarch Pass was an excellent riding suit that got buried in all the textile madness back in 2014. ADVMoto tested it in just about every extreme condition possible, with high rankings in most categories. Kevin and I initially met in the Marines. We have been riding together for a few years, and riding BDRs the entire time. Our first attempt at a BDR was in Utah, where we were completely unprepared and significantly ignorant of our capabilities.
