Meg Russo’s Deuce coupe
The Tequila Squealer

Some readers might recognise this car from ASR issue 356 as a replica of it was the feature article in our Scale Rodding column. Well, here’s the real thing. Meg Russo purchased this lean mean and green coupe, dubbed, “The Tequila Squealer” back in February 2017 after finding it for sale in Geelong. Her father, Vince was the main influence in Meg’s passion for cars. He built a few early Holdens in his younger years but sold off his vehicles to make way for a family. Once the kids had grown older and more independent, Vince got back into cars with the purchase of a ’67 Chevelle while Meg’s mum, Karen got her hands on a ’55 Chevy pickup.
