The thunderclap

Mercedes-AMG has unleashed the GLE Coupe in a rather juicy AMG avatar. We took it out for a drive and came back rather enthralled with its ability to please the enthusiast and the sensible

The thunderclap

SUVs were born out of the need to carve new roads. Gradually they morphed into luxury vehicles that could tackle terrain and keep occupants in comfort while at it. But that was not the end of it. The SUV continued evolving and one more iteration can be seen in the form of the SUV Coupes. Mercedes-Benz joined the party with the GLE Coupe but the engineers at the Affalterbach facility of AMG decided that the GLE Coupe needed a bit more zing! Thus was born the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4Matic+ Coupe; and now that you have read the entire name we can delve into its magnificence.

At first glance, the GLE 63 S impresses with its sheer size. The front end looks very enticing and it is thanks to the LED headlights and those signature DRLs. Adding to it is the large grille on which sits an oversized Mercedes logo. The bumper coupled with those massive air dams completes the sinister look. In all, spotted through the rearview mirror of the car in front, the GLE 63 S looks rather intimidating and we are sure that it activates that move out of the way syndrome. In profile, the GLE 63 S looks even better. The massive 22in alloys and sweeping roofline make this SUV look rather sleek. The high clearance at the same time ensures that the GLE 63 S does not get stuck on Indian roads. The rear end again looks unique thanks to the high boot line. Overall then the GLE 63 S sure makes a case for itself as far as exclusivity is concerned.
