This 1993 Jeep ZJ Grand Cherokee is an excellent example of a well-built homegrown off-road rig

When we set out to plan the inaugural Jp Dirt ’N Drive presented by Jeep, we figured that we would get mostly JK Wranglers in the event lineup, and that was all good and true. However, we hoped for some variety and ended up seeing a few CJs and some YJ and TJ Wranglers as well. There were also a handful of Cherokees along for the two days of driving through the backcountry of Nevada, Arizona, and Utah on our way from Las Vegas to Moab. One such Cherokee was the ’93 Grand owned by Scott McCall of Prescott, Arizona. Upon first glance from 30 feet away, a Jeep ZJ Grand Cherokee with faux wood-grain décor on its sides didn’t send the signal to our brains that this Grand might be something we should check out. But when we began talking to Scott, it became obvious to even the temporarily oblivious that there was a lot to see in this ’93.
