IS THAT A FLUX CAPACITOR? No, it’s not the rebirth of the DeLorean. Karma is a new company named after the car from a few years ago.
First off, don’t call it a Fisker. That company’s assets were bought by a Chinese company. The new company is called Karma Automotive, and its identical looking car is called Revero.
The Revero is a rare thing— an electric vehicle with a range-extending internal combustion engine. It can be “filled” with both gasoline (9.5 gallons) and electricity, but it uses gasoline solely to generate electricity, supplying juice to a battery pack and/or to power electric motors that in turn move the vehicle, just like a diesel locomotive.
Under the Revero’s impossibly long, low hood lies a GM-sourced 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces a maximum 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The Revero’s battery with a 21.4-kW-hr capacity runs down the centerline of the car in what would appear to be the car’s prop-shaft tunnel. Two AC permanent magnet synchronous traction motors provide a combined 403 hp and 981 lb-ft of torque for propulsion.

2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty
The heavy-duty truck world moves more slowly than other pickup classes, and progress comes in spurts. Take the Ford F-Series Super Duty, whose recent refresh included softer-edged styling, a new entry-level gas-fed V-8, a new high-output 6.7-liter turbodiesel V-8, and myriad small improvements like new bedside steps. Is it still basically the same truck as before? Absolutely, but it’s also a better Super Duty, however incrementally.
