When you think of the Audi Q7, what&rsquo;s the descriptor that pops into your head? Big? Capacious? Luxurious? Narcotics? Anxiety? The last two are what I associate the car with. It&rsquo;s not Audi&rsquo;s fault; it&rsquo;s just that India&rsquo;s famous folk have lapped the car up with some serious intent (the previous gen one, anyway), almost as if Audi offered a few &lsquo;freebies&rsquo; along with the car. Anyway, I digress. Point is that the Q7 remains one solid, heck of a capable SUV.This write-up comes to you courtesy a new engine. But before I get into that, let me give you a few key things to keep in mind. First off, the Q7 on these pages weighs 2.8 tonnes. Last I checked, that is roughly the same amount of rubbish a boisterous teenager spews to his first girlfriend every hour. In other words, that&rsquo;s no insignificant amount. Then, it&rsquo;s powered by a miniscule 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. Think of a big bottle of some teeth-rotting fizzy drink and that&rsquo;s the size of the engine that goes into this Q7. The last bit, and it&rsquo;s no less important, is the fact that it&rsquo;s more than five metres long and two metres wide. That&rsquo;s a whole lot of metal to haul, if it wasn&rsquo;t immediately apparent. Now, based on this, the normal reaction would be to estimate that it would take roughly the same amount of time to hit 100 kph from standstill as it would for priests to stop harassing young boys which, I think, is never. Yet somehow, somehow, the Q7 40 TFSI does it in 6.9 seconds. I&rsquo;ve had yawns that take longer than that. It&rsquo;s unthinkable for an SUV like this.<img src="http://magarticles.magzter.com/articles/1132/247328/59e8b3222c9a4/1508422247652.jpg"" owidth=830 oheight=1078" style="height:649px; width:500px" />This physics-defying ridiculousness doesn&rsquo;t end there. The Q7 is simply marvelous for a thing its size around corners and the ride, especially when you consider it runs on 19s all around, is unbelievable. The handling side of things is also helped by the fact that it comes with Audi&rsquo;s four-wheel drive quattro system, which hugs and befriends tarmac like little else. The amount of confidence you can put in the car while making a corner at speeds the car has no right doing is something that needs to be experienced to be believed. Of course, you can&rsquo;t just enter it into a rally stage and expect it to conquer everything, but it&rsquo;s impressive, nonetheless. Why it manages 0-100 kph so quick is because its engine makes a handy amount of power and torque (249 bhp and 36.7 kgm), and that&rsquo;s particularly brilliant if you ask me. I definitely wasn&rsquo;t expecting this in the least.The Q7 also has things to keep you as an occupant safe, too. There are eight airbags, and Audi&rsquo;s Pre Sense system. On the convenience side of things, it gets a tilt angle sensor for when you&rsquo;re off the road, four-zone climate control to keep you and your passengers cooled or cooked, as you please, auto park assist, a tyre pressure warning system, and I wouldn&rsquo;t have been surprised if Audi threw in a box of cigars and a winery in there somewhere, too.What this is, then, is a revelation. Hats off to Audi for pulling this off, and serving this up at a price that I think is pretty worth it. Now, what about that SQ7, then?&nbsp;
