When considering to buy a Honda Activa, on what basis does the buyer get convinced to go ahead with the purchase? It&rsquo;s very much the same with everyone. First, it&rsquo;s the Honda&rsquo;s badge, and then there&rsquo;s the undeniable reliability and smoothness of its tried and tested engine. Then, there&rsquo;s the resale value, which is another legendary Honda trademark in India. I&rsquo;ve never heard any Activa owner praising its looks or even any of the features. Because there aren&rsquo;t any. While other manufacturers are offering a lot more at a similar price range, the Activa still manages to outsell them. Even after 18 years, the Activa to me still has the same body line as its first iteration, and as far as features are concerned, there is hardly anything unique to talk about. Yes, Honda does have the Dio which is stylish and sporty but doesn&rsquo;t do much justice to its character in terms of power. There is also the Activa 125, which is powerful, but it&rsquo;s the same Activa body that fails to complement its performance. That said, the brand has finally taken note of this empty space and filled it up with the all-new Grazia.The first time I saw the Grazia, I was kind of convinced to buy the scooter just by its looks. The design was fresh and very eye-catching. And while I was engrossed in absorbing the design attributes, my urge to buy one got even stronger after getting to know it was powered by the Activa 125&rsquo;s powerful motor. The Grazia was exactly what I had been long expecting from a brand like Honda.As soon as I got my hands on the Grazia during the first ride, I already somehow had a good feeling from the scooter. That good feeling soon turned into a conscious one. Almost every motorcyclist&rsquo;s attention was stuck on the scooter every time I stopped at a red light. And why not, I say. The design is attractive with nice sharp lines flowing through the entire length of the scooter. The all-LED headlamp (a segment first) further accentuates the design and gives the Grazia a futuristic and sporty look. Saddled on the Grazia, my attention was frequently going to its instrument console as it featured an all-digital unit (another first in the scooter segment) and that too with a tachometer. There is also a three-step Eco speed indicator located above the meter for those mileage conscious riders, which allows them to extract the maximum possible efficiency.I did try to keep the three green lights lit for a while, but that can be kept for some other day as that was not what the Grazia was meant for. Under the plastic body, the 124.9cc engine borrowed from the Activa 125 is an absolute breeze every time the throttle is twisted. The power delivery is strong and smooth as I was able to manage a quick start leaving the traffic behind. With a top speed of 90 kph, keeping pace with the traffic on the highway is a piece of cake without feeling any stress or vibrations from the motor.<img src="http://magarticles.magzter.com/articles/1132/256306/5a30e363e92eb/1513153357_loc.jpg"" owidth=1653 oheight=1065" style="height:322px; width:500px" />Riding the Grazia through different road surfaces, I particularly liked the seat as it was comfortable, and the positioning of the handlebars allowed my shoulders to feel relaxed at all times. On that note, Honda has given the Grazia a 4-in-1 ignition switch which now also includes a seat lock. A button located beside the switch can be used to unlock the seat, and that gives access to 18-litres of storage. This avoids the hassle of removing the key for the same.That said, may it be slow or high speeds, I must say that Honda has got it right with Grazia&rsquo;s handling. The telescopic forks and the single shock absorber at the rear with the MRF tyres provide good feedback while cornering and at the same time provide the right amount of damping when going over uneven road surfaces. Also, for the top-spec version which features a disc and drum setup, the front provides a powerful bite with a good feedback, while Honda&rsquo;s CBS system uses both brakes for a smooth yet effective braking.At the end of the day, the Grazia managed to leave me with a lasting impression as it ticked all the right boxes for its proposed market. It is quick, stylish, well-priced, feature-packed (which was missed in Honda&rsquo;s products) and efficient to boot. It is safe to say that Honda has filled up the empty space in its product portfolio and managed to come up with an all-rounder that fits the bill for most buyers in the scooter market.&nbsp;
