Cody Hill is no stranger to the world of customized lifted trucks. His first build was the truck he got when he turned 16. Some of you might remember seeing the feature of his ’75 C10 called “Home Grown,” which debuted in the pages of Truckin back in Issue #1, 2015. As you can tell from Hill’s build, he has an eye for something different with great vision for form and function.

For his next truck, Hill picked up a brand-new ’07 Duramax to help pull his heavy machinery from job site to job site. Of course, nothing stays stock for very long, and soon, he started modifying it little by little with a leveling kit and a change of the wheels. One day, Hill and his best friend Derek Allred of Backroad Customs started up the conversation about a decent size lift for his Duramax. Before long, the truck was in his shop receiving an 8-inch lift kit on 35s and 22x14 wheels.
