Emma Cole is from Eastbourne and works for the NHS as a night data clerk. This is one of a few jobs she has, another is in a primary school as a midday supervisor and the other is running her own business in personal training, the eponymously named Emma Cole Personal Trainer. Emma is also a busy mother of four children.
She has owned ‘The Beast’ since March 2019 and it is her daily driver, “I drive it, I like it, it’s different” The Beast is a T4 SWB Swamper produced in 2000, running a standard 1.9TD diesel engine as it was from manufacture, with 67BHP under the bonnet. It is her favourite T4 so far, and she has no intention of selling it. “I think it’s a keeper”
Emma got into VWs five years ago after part exchanging her Nissan Qashqai for her first T4. This was motivated by her need for a vehicle to carry her weights back and forward from training sessions. This started her VW addiction for both her and the family. Following the purchase she joined a few clubs VW clubs, The Damned Dub Club, Eastbourne Zimmer Dubbers and KVWC (Kentish) and has never looked back. She has met so many amazing new friends that meet up at different shows, the children have made new friends too. She loves the freedom of being able to pull up at the side of the road, make a cup of tea, listen to some music and relax.
The Beast is Emma’s third T4 “I just can’t have a normal car anymore; I love having a van too much. It opened a whole new world, meeting new people, all with the passion for VWs, I am hooked!”
