Dubs At The Castle - it’s still got to be one of the best locations for a VW show. Part of the show is actually inside Caldicot Castle in South East Wales, where people have been living for 800 years and is now apparently inhabited by ghosts. Did anyone camping in the surrounding fields this year, or in any other years, see or hear anything which didn’t sound human I wonder? Actually, scrub that question - it was a three-day VW show - so the chances of seeing and hearing things which you can’t rationally explain are pretty high! For instance, I spotted no less than four Scooby Doo-themed vans - and even a complete set of Scooby-Doo characters all dressed up and dancing in front of the main stage - or did I imagine that?
To be honest I was quite tempted to re-name the show Dogs At The Castle last year and not just because of the aforementioned Scooby-Doo vision. Yes, of course, there are always dogs at VW shows, and DATC is no exception, but for some reason, I noticed a lot more this year, or maybe that was just me too?
