Audi Q5 45 TFSI

This petrol powered Q5 is exactly what you need if you’re like me, a petrolhead who also likes refinement.

NOUGHT TO 100KMPH IN A claimed 6.3 seconds, courtesy a performance sedan shaming 248bhp at 5000-6000rpm. Loads of traction thanks to that Quattro all wheel drive system. And a claimed top speed of 237kmph. Say hello to the petrolhead’s SUV. Wait, did you think this was another article about some brand new hot hatch? Sorry to disappoint but today we happen to be inside the super comfortable and refined but capable petrol powered Audi Q5. In the seat that matters of course.

For those of you who haven’t been following us on Twitter or on the web – shame on you! – Audi launched this 45 TFSI petrol version of its Q5 SUV at the end of last month at `55.3 lakh, ex-showroom. That puts Ingolstadt’s offering smack between its principal rivals from Stuttgart and Munich with the Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC retailing at `54.5 lakh and the X3 xDrive 30i carrying a sticker of `56.9 lakh. But comparisons are for another day. We’ll just stick to the Q5 today.
