Gaurav Goel
Western European Head, Sahajanand Medical Technologies (SMT)
Q: What is the rationale behind setting up an office in Ireland?
A: Ireland is well known as the medical device hub of the world. 15 of the top 20 global medtech companies operate in Ireland. Ireland provides a complete eco-system in terms of infrastructure, highly skilled manpower, raw material and capital goods suppliers at close proximity. When SMT wanted to expand into the European market, it scouted various countries in Europe. The major thrust was to find out a suitable country where we could address our multiple requirements and Ireland was our answer. Ireland fits perfectly into our short term and long term goals. We look forward to bringing together our Indian talent along with the high skilled manpower available in Ireland to become a major global medical device player.
Q: Could you please throw some light on SMt’s product portfolio? What are your areas of focus as far as product services are concerned?
