WHEN I THINK OF THE PERFECT DINNER, it would have to be filet mignon cooked medium rare with a red wine sauce, mashed potatoes with lots of butter, and broccoli. Followed by flourless chocolate cake, of course. Maybe candles, some softmusic, with waiters in dress black.

I grew up eating beef — not filet mignon, of course. More like ground chuck for spaghetti or hamburgers, round steak for stew, or for special occasions a roast. Comfort food.
