A serial entrepreneur shares what it takes to make a comeback in life and business.
We have heard of entrepreneurs and we have heard of serial entrepreneurs. They all love building up things. They love the creation of making a dent in the universe with their innovative ideas. Entrepreneur met a serial entrepreneur, who has not just gone across board in building businesses in broking, movies, comics, entertainment whilst playing the entire gamut of life. He did all this while surviving a bankruptcy and cancer. That makes his story above the extraordinary by all means. Shripal Morakhia in question is not just a survivor, he is truly an inspirer. He answers every question with ease with which he has started businesses, which lefta mark. From selling offSSKI and Sharekhan then producing movies like Bend it like Beckham and Monsoon Wedding to buying the forgotten Amar Chitra Katha to revamping it and selling it off. This time he’s smashing it up big in the entertainment sector.
While the IPO news is still rife for the gaming and entertainment major Smaaash, we caught up with the Founder, Morakhia, who clearly knows where the buck stops. As the saying goes, old flames die hard; his love for comics hasn’t died yet. When asked to give a clue on which sector he would move on to next, he says, “Children are growing up with overdose of comics these days and I think the biggest superstars and superheroes are Rama and Lakshmana. I would like to create a version of Indian superheroes based on Indian mythology.”
