MANUFACTURING TODAY ORGANISED ITS second annual summit, ‘Smart Factory 2022: Deployment in Present To Reap Profits of the Future’ virtually. The summit was presented by ServiceNow, along with Associate Partner PTC, Technology Partner SAP, Digital Transformation Partner Juniper, Industry Partner Hexagon, IoT Partner Tata Communications, and Business Development Partner Zebra Technologies.
ITP Media India MD Bibhor Srivastava kick started the event by a quick introduction to the summit’s broad objectives and the day’s proceedings while thanking the eminent members participating. Daimler India Commercial Vehicles MD & CEO Satyakam Arya delivered the Keynote Address. He said that future manufacturing would be different from what we see at present. “Manufacturing will be transformed into an ecosystem where data is collected at every point in the value chain and fed into AI and ML-powered algorithms,” Arya commented.
The assembly was welcomed by ServiceNow India Senior Director for Solution Consulting Venogopal Arcot who also delivered the Partner Keynote on the topic, Reimagining Manufacturing. Stating that the aftermarket business was changing, Arcot observed that 76 per cent of manufacturers had introduced or were planning to introduce new aftermarket services with a view of reaching the last mile.
