<p style="break-before: page; break-after: page;"><strong>S</strong>he&rsquo;s an award-winning actress who has seen her career thrive at the unlikely age of 70 with acclaimed roles in Watchmen, Mare of Easttown and Hacks, for which she recently took home a SAG Award. But Jean&rsquo;s proudest accomplishment is raising her 13-year-old son, Forrest, on her own. &ldquo;Being a single mother is the hardest thing I&rsquo;ve ever done,&rdquo; says Jean, whose husband of 34 years, actor Richard Gilliland, died last year at age 71. &ldquo;Losing my husband was very unexpected, not something that I thought would happen for at least another 20 years. And having a young child, it&rsquo;s been unimaginable.&rdquo; Jean and Richard adopted Forrest in 2009. &ldquo;Richard was a great dad, and he made me laugh every day,&rdquo; says the star, who is also mom to Connor, 32. &ldquo;I just want people to know how much he sacrificed for me to be where I am, and to get the opportunities that I&rsquo;ve gotten, and let his career kind of take a back seat to help take care of our home and our kids. I was very lucky when I met him.&rdquo;</p>
