RAGHUVENDRA SINGH MEETS RAGINI KHANNA, WHO MADE A BIG IMPACT IN THE GRITTY THRILLER GURGAON
Finally, Ragini Khanna has won the opportunity to get rid of monikers like ‘Govinda’s niece’ and ‘TV’s bubbly girl’. Filmmaker Shanker Raman’s critically acclaimed neo-noir thriller, Gurgaon, has given her career a new lease. Her portrayal of a hopeful but fiery girl brought up in a gangster household has won her notice. The film also features Pankaj Tripathi, Akshay Oberoi and Aamir Bashir. The popular and critical appreciation received by Gurgaon has given Ragini hope that she’ll soon be working with her favourite filmmakers like Shimit Amin, Vikramaditya Motwane and Shoojit Sircar some day. “The character has a lot of subtext. This film broke my image of a bubbly girl,” says the actor who was seen in popular TV shows like Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi and Sasural Genda Phool.
