From the wadas of the Peshwas to the valleys of Italy, Ranveer Singh is all set to begin a new romance. Suman Sharma hails the king of good times.
Ranveer Singh has crossed a momentous milestone in his career. Pulling out Bajirao from the annals of history and putting the Maratha Peshwa on 70 mm for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani (BM) was no less a battle for him. A battle he eventually won with guns blazing. The actor has left both critics and masses impressed by his take on the warrior’s life and times. The tint of success fresh on his face, he’s finally stepped out of Bajirao’s skin to embrace the world of Yash Raj Films’ Befikre opposite Vaani Kapoor. But before that he wants to take a much-deserved vacation. “I want to meditate, strengthen my core and gain clarity. Also I want to start riding bikes again. My mother had forbidden me to do so earlier. But I’m 30 now,” smiles the actor who will soon begin shooting for Aditya Chopra’s directorial venture to be shot in Italy and Paris. “Befikre is a light, breezy romance,” he says adding, “After doing the intense Bajirao... this is just what the doctor prescribed.”
