Two decades in the business have neither reduced her relevance nor diminished her glamour. In fact, post marriage and motherhood, she has emerged stronger than ever before. Without a hint of desperation to prove a point. She’s just going with the flow. Keeping herself fluid to embrace and experiment with both the mediums - films and television. Her line-up of films is eclectic.... Dharma Productions’ Good Newzz and Takht, Homi Adajania’s Angrezi Medium and Aamir Khan’s remake of Forrest Gump, Lal Singh Chaddha. More recently, she lent sparkle to the airwaves as radio host of the show What Women Want, interviewing a host of celebrities. In fact, the show has now entered its second season given her pervasive popularity. The star performer for all platforms, Kareena Kapoor Khan, surely knows what she wants and how to get it...
YOUR RADIO SHOW, WHAT WOMEN WANT, HAS HIT THE SECOND SEASON. WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO TURN A RADIO HOST?
Well, it was the concept of the show. We received a great response to the first season where we spoke of gender fluidity and feminism. We spoke about girl bosses. People loved that. This time too we have a similar concept. We also have guests on the show. It’s more of a conversation with different people, who have excelled in their fields. Also, people sharing their story of strength with us. I’m loving it because that’s very me. I find their stories inspiring.
WAS THERE A STORY THAT TOUCHED YOU?
Last season we got many people from different walks of life, not just stars, celebrities and fashion icons. We got people to talk about their personal issues as well. My friend spoke about divorce and things like that. So, it would be hard to pick one. I was touched by all of them by the end of it.
