Oscar Predictions 2023

THE RACE FOR THE OSCARS IS ON!

We have officially reached the most exciting part of the ongoing awards season in Hollywood. The 95th Academy Awards are coming up in a matter of days. After weeks of speculation and predictions, the full list of nominations is out and on it are a host of snubs and surprises. Daniels’ game-changing Everything Everywhere All At Once took the lead with 11 nods. World War I epic All Quiet On The Western Front and the darkly funny The Banshees Of Inisherin follow close behind with nine nominations each. Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans bagged seven nods while Tár came in with six nominations. Joining the race are commercially successful titles like Avatar: The Way Of Water, Top Gun: Maverick and Elvis which pulled crowds into theatres. Looks like there’s a major shift coming up in how the Academy sees Hollywood’s crowd-pleasers.

Of course, SS Rajamouli’s RRR bagged a historic nod for the film’s infectious song Naatu Naatu. With a year full of highs and lows for international cinema, here are our Oscars 2023 predictions.
