From a child woman to girl now, Prachi Desai’s transformation has been magical
Sitting in Prachi Desai’s 29th floor suburban apartment and looking out through the exquisite French windows, I feel like a hi-flying bird circling over Mumbai’s beautiful skyline. The drawing room opens out to the balcony with a lush garden full of fragrant flowers. On the side table inside, there’s a picture of Prachi posing with her fluffy white cat. She walks in after a few minutes and flops beside me on the pristine white couch with a flask filled with freshly-brewed coffee. “I’m a coffeeholic. I carry my coffee flask everywhere. I have endless cups through the day, it’s madness. I try converting people around me into coffeeholics as well,” she laughs.
In fact, director Tony D’Souza and she hit it off over a hot cuppa on the set of Azhar. “One day, I happened to taste an amazing cup of specially prepared coffee on the set. I found out it was for Tony. It was the best coffee I’d ever had. From that day onwards, I treated myself to the ‘Tony special’ every day. I miss it now that Azhar is over,” she pouts and then breaks into a smile. She’s dressed in a simple sleeveless white top and blue denims. Her red-hot lipstick and the smartly cut long wavy bob, lazily kissing her face, arrests my attention. “This hairstyle is for my next Rock On!! 2,” she beams. Truly, Prachi has a lot to smile about these days...
