What stern message do you have for the crimes being committed against girls and women in our country?
Kashish Mahtani, Pune
A stern message has already been sent out for crimes against children. The same needs to be implemented against women. Personally, I’m against capital punishment. What we can’t give, we can’t take either. But the clear answer is I’m all for the death of rapists. It’s unfortunate that India’s daughters, for no fault of theirs, live in constant fear. When the perpetrators of such crimes should be living in fear instead! Such crimes happen because we aren’t strict about punishing the culprits. Capital punishment seems to be the only answer.
Malala Yousafzai has stated that she wants to become the Prime Minister of Pakistan one day. Can her dream become a reality? Can we expect a normal relationship with Pakistan once Malala becomes the PM of Pakistan?
Rajesh Ranga, New Delhi
She’s a brave girl but her view on world matters still comes from a place of youthful passion. Once she grows mature, it will make sense for her to pursue a career in politics. She might have a different point of view few years from now. For now, she should continue her campaign for the rights of girls and children in Pakistan. I wish her all the best.
