WAR
Kabir (Hrithik Roshan) and Khalid (Tiger Shroff) have a teacher-student relationship. They work for an intelligence agency. But Kabir turns rogue. Khalid is disillusioned by this change. Director Siddharth Anand has added twists aplenty in this high-octane narrative. Vaani Kapoor’s track has been included to add emotion to an otherwise testosterone-driven film. She’s sexiness reloaded in a bikini. Hrithik para dropping on a speeding plane and going on a killing spree, Tiger and him racing across the Arctic ice in sports cars, blowing up a terrorist base, are adrenalin-pumping experiences.
Toned and tough, Hrithik and Tiger appear like supermen fighting each other. The lack of substance is more than made up by the stylised action. Be prepared for a sequel.

PAL PAL DIL KE PAAS
The film holds your interest in the first half thanks to its stunning cinematography (Himman Dhameja and Ragul Dharuman) and pristine locales. The weak plot with little conflict launches two fresh faces, who can do little to redeem themselves. Karan Deol is a shy version of father Sunny Deol (he’s directed the film). Sehar Bammba comes off a shade better despite being OTT in a few scenes. Simone Singh, as Sehar’s mother, is graceful. The music is pleasing. But the film belongs to its cinematographers for the postcard frames.
