Actress Shweta Tiwari’s daughter Palak Tiwari will soon be seen in Rosie: The Saffron Chapter, directed by Vishal Mishra and bankrolled by Oberoi Mega Entertainment. Vivek Oberoi is her co-star in the thriller. Being the daughter of a famous TV star, Palak always dreamt of being an actress herself. Apart from continuing her mother’s legacy, she wanted to try her hand at acting because she finds magic in the movies. “Why else would a group of people knowing that the character they’ve come to love is a facade still connect with it in such great capacity, that it makes them cry their eyes out. It makes no sense. and that’s the incomprehensible beauty of it. That’s what I’ve always dreamt of doing,” she comments.
Palak sounds wise beyond her 20 years when she adds that another attraction for joining the movies was the camaraderie she found between everyone working on a project when she visited her mom’s sets. She was briefly an AD and that experience too reconfirmed her belief that she was meant to be in showbiz. It also taught her that the smallest individual too is important to a project. The allure of living different lives while playing a character also appealed to her. “Even though the character you’re playing could very well be antithetical to yourself, you still have the responsibility of portraying that in a way that makes sense to the audience,” she elaborates.
