Lawmen seek answers in Gabby murder horror ■ What do they know?■ Why did their story change?

WHILE lawmen were hunting fugitive Brian Laundrie to discover his role in the fatal strangulation of lover Gabby Petito, authorities were also demanding answers from his parents about what they knew about her death — and when they knew it!

Bubbly blond Gabby, 22, was reported missing Sept. 11 — ten days after Brian, 23, returned to his family home in Florida without her after a cross-country road trip.

Brian vanished without a trace on Sept. 13, according to his parents, Christopher and Roberta Laundrie, who insisted they had no idea where he went.

But top law enforcement sources believe the couple covered up for their son — and may have secretly communicated with him!

“It is implausible Brian’s parents didn’t ask him a few basic questions when he returned home, starting with, ‘Where’s Gabby?’ ” said Paul Huebl, a renowned private detective.

“It seems like his parents misled, lied and did everything they could to protect their worthless kid!”

Adding to their suspicious behavior, the Laundries told cops on Sept. 17 that Brian left their North Port home on Sept. 14 with a backpack after announcing he was going to camp in the nearby Carlton Reserve.
