BELOVED actor Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson have been struck down with the deadly coronavirus — placing the entire movie industry on high alert!
The two-time Oscar winner, 63, made the shocking announcement on March 11 while the couple was in Australia where he was set to begin filming a movie about the life of Elvis Presley.
The virus has no cure — and medical experts said the infected “Forrest Gump” star is at increased risk because he has type 2 diabetes!
LOCKED IN QUARANTINE
In a chilling statement, Hanks said: “Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers, too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive.”
Tom added that he and his wife “will be tested, observed and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no? We’ll keep the world posted and updated.”
According to sources, the two were whisked into quarantine after getting medical treatment.
