‘I want people to see my nicer side'

Nikita Jasmine made a name for herself as a fiery Geordie after she was booted off Married At First Sight UK last year for bad behaviour.

But now, the 27-year-old from County Durham is determined to show off her softer side on Celebs Go Dating.

Nikita, who famously didn’t get on with husband Ant Poole, says she relished the chance to open up on the new series of the dating show.

“I knew on Celebs Go Dating I would get the opportunity for people to see the nicer side of me,” the model says. “Otherwise, people would only remember that last image of me.”

And while it remains to be seen whether her quest for love is successful or not on this series, Nikita tells me all about her thoughts on the show so far, who she’s closest to among the cast and why she’d “never say never” to another stint on Married At First Sight

Hi, Nikita! I have to ask, how did you find being thrown into the blind date situation on Celebs Go Dating?

People probably won’t believe it but I find it really nerve-racking because I’m not a serial dater at all. I’ve had two long-term relationships. I was with my first ex for three years, then I had a 10-month gap where I didn’t really date anyone. Then I got with my second partner of three years. We broke up during Covid, so I’ve not really been big on the dating scene. People think, “She’s confident”, but that is one of the scariest things.
