Tanya Bardsley is back on our screens in the latest series of Real Housewives Of Cheshire, letting viewers into her seemingly perfect life. But when we chat to the WAG and her 18-year-old daughter Gabriella, she tells us life has been far from idyllic behind the scenes, revealing she was forced to pull Gabriella out of college after she was beaten up by bullies.
You’d never guess the heartbreak they’ve been through as they pose for our exclusive snaps at their home in Wilmslow, having just returned from a family holiday in Turkey with Gabriella’s brothers Rocco, 11, Renz, seven, and Ralphi, three, and their dad, footballer Phil, 35.
But Gabriella admits, “I was too petrified to go back to college. It hasn’t been a nice time,” while Tanya, 39, reveals for the first time that she was so badly bullied at school she wrote a worrying note describing how she planned to jump in front of a moving car, aged just 13.
“It was really bad and it’s made me very protective of my babies,” she tells us, adding that her experience has made her more ballsy when she gets into spats with her fellow Housewives on the show. “Oh, definitely. I won’t let myself get bullied any more.”
With World Suicide Prevention Day on 10 September, the mum and daughter tell new their experiences have made them stronger…
Can you tell us what happened at college, Gabriella?
Gabriella: It started after I was on the bus home and dropped my lip gloss under a boy’s seat. I tapped him on the shoulder to ask for it back and his girlfriend started going mad at me because she thought I was flirting with him.
