The Former Couple Are Left Red-faced by an Embarrassing New Legal Scandal

While the past year had been the toughest of Brad Pitt’s life, after being blindsided by his estranged wife Angelina Jolie’s divorce filing in September last year, it seemed the actor’s troubles were finally over when she confirmed recently she’d decided to bury the hatchet.

But just when he appeared to have come through his darkest days, he and Ange have been drawn into an embarrassing new legal nightmare. French interior decorator Odile Soundant has successfully sued the pair’s Chateau Miraval estate for $837,000 after she claimed the couple failed to pay or even credit her for work she did at the property.

Odile says she first crossed paths with Brad in 2010, when the 53-year-old star hired her to oversee a lighting project at the family’s French retreat. But after two years, Odile claims the cheques from Brad stopped coming – and when she complained, he tried to sweet talk her into continuing the project unpaid.

‘Odile, I need you. Come here please. I need you to finish,’ he allegedly wrote in an email. As their exchanges took a sour turn, Brad sent a second note, urging her not to sue.
